Our Under 15 team completed a highly successful season last evening by clinching the Burton Youth League U15 Championship, winning their play-off game with Alrewas by some 50 runs - that follows on from their Derbyshire Cup victory, en route to a winning a place in the last eight of the ECB Nationwide Cup. And for good measure, the Under 17 team, unbeaten across their BurtonYouth League U17 campaign are bot the league champions and cup winners. Strong shows also by each of our other age group teams through a busy season. |

We regained the Burton Rotary 20/20 Trophy with a comfortable eight wickets victory over last year’s winners Lichfield in a low scoring final hosted by Draycott & Hanbury. Lichfield were soon having second thoughts about their decision to bat first as they were in early trouble to Park’s seamers, with Alan Gough mean and giving little away, while skipper Jonny Shales made the first breakthrough, having Price smartly caught by Andy Easter with only 11 runs on the board. |

Just 24 hours on from missing out in a place in the last four of the ECB Nationwide Competition, our Under15 Burton League side bounced back to beat Walton in a must win game that takes them joint top of the table and facing a championship play-off match. The game was switched to the Park as Walton's ground was unavailable and our team made good use of the rapdily prepared wicket as they overcame the disappointment of defeat in York the previous afternoon. |

Due to one of the U15 side being in the Regional Final of the National KO at York the same day it has been decided to cancel the coaching for this Wednesday evening. Coaching/Nets will recommence the following week as normal. Steve & John |

Our Under 15 team is through to the regional finals of the ECB National competition after a 55 run demolition of the Cheshire champions Prestbury. Already the Derbyshire champions, we enjoyed a run spree that had their visitors on the back-foot from the opening over as George Hodson-Walker and Jamie Goodwin attacked with relish, piling on 53 runs for the first wicket at over ten an over. |
